Sun Petrochemicals began in 1999 following a partnership with Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (now owned by Reliance Industries Limited) to utilize their waste acetylene gas to produce acetylene carbon black.
Sun Petrochemicals is an integrated chemical company that supplies several grades of acetylene carbon black for various applications in the chemical and electronic industries. The company is headquartered in Mumbai, India and our state of the art acetylene carbon black plant is based in Nagothane, Maharashtra, India. We produce acetylene black by the thermal decomposition of acetylene gas.
